Special Interest Group

Special Interest Group are groups of people who have an interest in a specific hardware or software area. They usually meet monthly under the direction of a SIG leader who is a member of the Las Vegas PC Users Group.

SIGs are open to the public and generally involve in all levels of expertise. All that is required to participate is an interest in the subject area . The role of the SIG leader is to coordinate group functions and do not have to be experts in the SIG subject area.

SIG meetings are held on weekdays and weekends. Current Schedules are subject for changes so be sure to confirm the time and place with SIG leaders.

For additional information or to discuss your interest in forming a SIG, send an e-mail to Don Sabatine, SIG Coordinator..

Description:  We will be reviewing a lot of different programs that apply to an office, such as accounting programs, Word, Peachtree, Microsoft Small Business, Money and Quicken.  Learn to create great-looking documents, spreadsheets and presentations, and organize notes and information.

We will continue to explore Open Office.  We May look at email programs like Mozilla Thunderbird and Outlook Express.  We can also explore Contact Management programs like Outlook.   Plan on attending this great SIG and learning lots of different programs.

Many of the SIGs do not meet in November or December because of the holidays.
